Summary The U.S. Department of the Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control announced the designation of a network of 16 individuals and entities associated with Hezbollah financier Alaa Hassan Hamieh, which it said had enabled the diversion of more than $100 million since 2020. The action was taken under Executive Order 13224, as amended, and the document states that as of December 2025 Hamieh was no longer affiliated with the Investment Development Authority of Lebanon after its appointment of a new board of directors.
